Set in the old south during the days of women's suffrage, this tale of a strong-willed young woman, horrified that her parents have arranged her marriage, vows to never go through with it. Her betrothed, a stubborn young man just as opposed to this marriage, finds himself more attracted to this hard headed young lady than he ever imagined. The journey that ensues show us that sometime, what we plan in our heads, doesn't always jive with what our hearts say. Will they go along with their parents' wishes, or will lies and misunderstandings destroy what could be a great future that the Lord has planned for them? A great relaxing read that let me escape to a time long ago with a couple I could cheer for.
